Finding Courage To Overcome Fear

Instead of Allowing My Fears to Stop Me, I Am Now Finding Courage Through My Passion

It has been extremely hard  for me to set a goals recently. I was worried about failing and/or not being able to reach my goal. I have been avoiding commitment because it was my way of not facing my fear of failing.

But now I have the drive to challenge myself!

My best friend, Candice, and I have wanted to compete in a horse show for quite some time now. But every month another show goes by and we both always find a reason why we can’t go. As much as we both love to show, we let everything stop us. No money, to busy, sick, or Candice’s mom wont let her.

Now I can see how stupid all of those reasons are. I mean the only way to get there, is to set our intention towards going and then create it despite of our excuses.

I am never to busy to do  something I really want to do. So how come I haven’t wanted to compete in a horse show recently?

I did some soul searching and came to the conclusion with my business coach, Greg Blanko-Dickson, that I have been avoiding and playing small. I have created a fear and I have been allowing that fear to build to the point of stopping me. I have been coping out on myself

Then it hit me. I has running away and buying into my fears again. I was giving up on myself!

I told her I was going and I didn’t care how I was going to do it . I had made up my mind. That is very dangerous!! She knew I meant what I saying and I guess it sparked something in her. She said well I am going too. Just like that our intention was set. Now mind you I still didn’t have the money for the entry fee or a way to get there. But I was going and that was that.

Because I stopped looking at the reasons why I couldn’t go and started focusing on me going, I found the money. I had nothing else to stop me. We are both now committed to doing the horse show.

All you have to do is change your mind.

The point of this post is to encourage you to stop letting something so small stop you from going after your dream.

Take that first step!

Don’t worry if you are going to fly or fall. Which one is better knowing that you tried and it didn’t work or never trying a wondering what it would be like?

I know what my answer is to that question. I am Leaping to FLY!!!

So go out and live your life to the fullest! It is as easy as breathing.

I am off to win another blue ribbon. rokzy

Way to go Danielle!

You are easy to coach because you then go something about it and get into action. I was proud of your ability to learn and then apply what you have learned!

That single ability, to apply what you’ve learned will serve you well your entire life!
