Welcome to My Blog!

I am Danielle Herb, I am Living Proof of the power of these techniques, and I want your child to have the same oppurtunity that I did!

I am 15 years old and want to tell you a little bit about me.

I was told I was ADD/ADHD when I was about 5 years old. Thank God my mom did not put me on the drugs. I am so thankful that she took the time to find an alternative method for me. When I was younger my therapy was ballet. I could walk on my tip toes better that I could walk normal. But something was missing.

The best thing that ever happened to me was when I was about 6 years old; I went took horse back riding lessons. I loved horses. When I was around them I felt calm and centered. They taught me so much.

By the age of 9, I move to north Florida with my mom after she got married to my step dad. He lived on an 80 acre horse farm. I learned the old ways on how to treat horses and didn’t like it at all. I hated to watch my best friend get hurt and there was nothing that I could do about it. So when I bought my first horse I decided I wanted to do things naturally and if anyone had anything to say about it they could kiss my butt. I went to a good friend of mine who taught me the “join up” and lots of other things about horses. I loved it and so did my horse. I was so happy. I had found my niche. I love natural horsemanship, but noticed that there were kids out there like me being drugged. This made me really sad.

By the age of 13 I started helping my first child. The results were amazing. I was so happy that I found something that I love and I could help someone else. I started trying to find as many kids or teens as possible. I did not have much luck, but I did help a few more kids along the way.

I am home schooled using the unschooling method. Things went great with my education, but my mom wanted to start a private school to help other kids like me. Guess what, we did it; it’s called “The School Without Walls”. It was the best thing we ever did because I found more children to help. I started working with 5 kids full time. Their ages ranged from 4-13. I loved every second of it. At the end of the school year I missed my kids so I started a summer camp. I had a few kids and it was great. I kept finding more kids that I could help and they were amazing. I could not believe how the horses changed all the kids. By time they left my program they where completely different. They where calm, confident, and knew how to overcome their fears. And guess what there were no drugs used isn’t that great?

I am so happy that I now have a system that I can use to help so many other kids. The best feeling in the world is when the parents come up to you with tears in their eyes and thank you for what you have done. That is what I live for.

My life’s goal is to use natural horsemanship to teach kids and teens with ADD/ADHD or/and Autism, life skills to better their future, how to over come their fears and how to calm themselves down with out the use of drugs. That is my niche but I thought I’d share on how I got it.

Best Wishes,
